Shop CCTV and alarm, Soumeh Sara

The brief

A shop that already had cameras, but which produced no usable image on the one occasion it was needed. The review showed the cameras were mounted above four metres and the recorder held only three days.

How it was done

1. 01 Entrance camera repositioned near head height, on the route customers must walk
2. 02 Disk sized for thirty days of retention rather than the recorder’s default
3. 03 Factory password on the recorder changed and remote access configured properly
4. 04 Recorder relocated out of sight and away from the door
5. 05 Alarm added, with standby battery and a call-out to the owner
6. 06 Every detector and camera tested with the client present

The outcome

The entrance camera now records an identifiable face, and a month of footage stays available. The owner views it remotely over a properly secured connection.
